Walter Van Beirendonck’s brand aestheticterrorists founded in 2003 was a brand that was a bridge between his first brand W< (Wild & Lethal Trash founded in 1983) with his new namesake label. His first brand abruptly ended due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks which inspired this connecting label until he could produce collections under his own name which was halted due to legal issues. “Reacting to 'existing culture', designer Walter Van Beirendonck created the Aesthetic Terrorist : a male doll-person sewn out of classical menswear fabrics or vintage camouflage uniforms. According to Van Beirendonck 'Each naked, individual doll is a vulnerable unit, but when connected together with others, even a vulnerable person becomes something big. We can all fight giants.' “ This piece features nice color blocking, fun graphics and is in great condition, just lightly worn. A great accessory from this unique short lived label.
