Yasuyuki Ishii started his namesake label in Tokyo 1996. He was inspired by envelope-pushing designers like Karl Lagerfeld. Ishii strived to be innovative in fashion by bridging the gap between avant-garde and casual, art and practical wear. “I want to create distinctive clothes that energizes people or makes them feel excited” stated Ishii. He also enjoys challenging conventional use of materials like utilizing leathers most fashion houses would reject due to roughness. The result of his unique style landed him many celebrity and athlete clients, lots of popularly in European countries, and his intricate creations were displayed in museums in Milan, Tokyo, and Paris.
This pieces feature a mohair/wool acrylic blend giving it a soft feel, nice luster, and combined with the smooth poly lining creates s great balance of warmth. It has a structured light design, three welt pockets and open slit cuffs. In excellent condition, no real signs of wear. A luxurious and well designed piece from a skilled Japanese designer who’s pieces are hard to find.
